@ 1539 The pagan gods of Arabia 53:19-24
53:19 (Among the idols) have you considered allat and al'uzza,
# أَفَرَأَيْتُمُ اللاَّتَ وَالْعُزَّى 19
53:20 and, another, the third manat?
# وَمَنَاةَ الثَّالِثَةَ الأُخْرَى 20
53:21 What, have you males, and He females!
# أَلَكُمُ الذَّكَرُ وَلَهُ الأُنثَى 21
53:22 That is indeed an unjust division.
# تِلْكَ إِذاً قِسْمَةٌ ضِيزَى 22
53:23 They are but names, named by you and your fathers. Allah has not sent down any authority for them. They follow conjecture and their soul's desire, even though the guidance of their Lord has come to them.
# إِنْ هِيَ إِلاَّ أَسْمَاءٌ سَمَّيْتُمُوهَا أَنتُمْ وَآبَاؤُكُم مَّا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ بِهَا مِن سُلْطَانٍ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلاَّ الظَّنَّ وَمَا تَهْوَى الأَنفُسُ وَلَقَدْ جَاءَهُم مِّن رَّبِّهِمُ الهُدَى 23
53:24 Is the human to have whatever he fancies?
# أَمْ لِلإِنسَانِ مَا تَمَنَّى 24
